Ljubljana’s Summer in the Castle

Fifty-six years and thousands of events after the Ljubljana Summer Festival appeared for the first time to the Slovenian capital’s cultural life, the institution is more mature than ever. This year’s edition runs from July 6 to August 27 and hosts 31 shows -operas, musicals and many concerts of chamber and symphony orchestras- by over 2,500 performers from more than 20 countries, who appear onstage at the beautiful castle of the city and many more prestigious venues (Križanke Summer Theatre, Cankarjev dom, Slovenian Philharmonic, Ursuline Monastery & Church of the Holy Trinity).
