Harun Farocki videos in Prague

Elaborate video installations of Harun Farocki, an artist who has influenced many avant-garde filmmakers, artists and media theorists, is for the first time on display the Czech Republic. Tranzitdisplay, the Prague resource environment for contemporary art, presents Farocki’s works that have as a pivotal theme the process of creation and reproduction of images. This is what the artist himself most accurately defines as “film essays” or a certain “form of intelligence.” You can visit the exhibition until August 31, 2009.
