Helmut Newton’s back!

Helmut Newton’s photographic fantasies were always larger than life so it was fitting when in 1999 German publishing house Taschen produced Sumo, a 464-page monograph in limited edition of 10,000 signed by Newton. Now, an exhibition on view at Berlin’s Helmut Newton Foundation until January 31, 2010, commemorates the 10 years of Sumo, with an exhibition of 394 photographs from its pages. The work of Newton’s protégés Mark Arbeit, George Holz, and Just Loomis –the Three Boys from Pasedena- is also on show.
