Placebo Battle for the Sun

With 38 gigs in 34 cities and 14 countries in Europe from October to the end of December, the legendary alternative rock band of Placebo completes their Euro-tour for 2009. The London-based trio of Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and Steve Forrest was founded back in 1994. Depeche Mode touring the Universe

The English electronic band Depeche Mode returns to Europe to continue the Tour of the Universe 2009, after a long leg in the Americas. Le Corbusier returns to Berlin

The first comprehensive exhibition since 1987 of the wide-ranging work of Swiss architect Le Corbusier is finally on show at Berlin’s Martin-Gropius-Bau, which is also underlining the architect’s links to Germany and Berlin. A total of about 380 exhibits are included in the exhibition Le Corbusier–Art and Architecture, which provides a chronological survey of his 60 year oeuvre. The exhibition can be visited until October 5.

Three reasons to be in Hamburg

There are three major shows on display this summer at the museum, which we recommend you should see: English masters of the art of Caricature from the late 18th to the early 19th centuries, the latest works of the renowned Dutch artist Marcel van Eeden under the title Witness for the Prosecution, and the projections of 33 films made from 1975 onwards by famous Swiss artist Roman Singer. Art for the Millions
