Futurism turns 100 at Tate Modern
Don’t miss the opportunity to see the first large-scale showing of Futurism in Britain in thirty years, as presented in a ground-breaking exhibition at the Tate Modern in London , on view through September 20, 2009. The exhibition is celebrating the centenary of the publication of The Founding and First Manifesto of Futurism in 1909, by Italian poet Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, the father of that movement that set out to modernize Italian art and social attitudes spreading its influence across Europe and beyond.
