Gilbert & George: Jack Freak Pictures

The crisp suits, scatological motifs, stern aesthetic and gay icon status of Gilbert & George resonate throughout Berlin's art scene this summer. This exhibition at the Arndt & Partner Gallery until September 18, 2009, is their first show in Berlin since some 14 years and features 20 of their largest Jack Freak Pictures to date. These massive collages are nationalistic self-portraits of the pair cloaked in the red, white and blue of the union jack set against recurring imagery of medals, emblems and trees.
