Latvia’s hot summer of folk culture

Latvia, like the other two Baltic countries, is a nation of tradition. A non-Latvian would be amazed to discover how many traditional and folk culture groups and ensembles are active in this small country of two and a half million. This summer two of the most popular folk festivals are taking place and there’s a lot of anticipation by many. If you happen to visit the country in July or August, do not miss the Baltica and Sudmalinas international festivals, both full of colors, music, dance and fun.
