Mapplethorpe images at the temple of Form

Twenty years since the death of celebrated American photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence pays tribute to his talent with the exhibition Robert Mapplethorpe: Perfection in Form, featuring 93 images until September 27, 2009. This is the first time that the works of this great internationally renowned artist of photography are exhibited in a temple of Form like the Accademia of Florence, known worldwide as the ‘Michelangelo Museum’, next to the most emblematic Renaissance icons.
